Meet your Guides!
Cheers to 20 years, @dougmartland! 🎉 Doug started at EMS in the fall of 2001 while in law school. “Around the same time I started climbing, often with other store employees as the store started to develop a real climbing culture, with regular trips to local crags like Quincy Quarries, Rattlesnake Rocks, and Auburn Ice Canyon. Over the next few years I really fell in love with climbing, taking my first AMGA class in 2007 and transferring over to the Climbing School in 2008. Since then I’ve guided for the school on a part-time basis, primarily in the Greater Boston area.” Doug is an AMGA Single Pitch Instructor, an AMGA Apprentice Rock and Alpine Guide, and a Wilderness EMT, as well as a writer for the #goEast blog. Bravo, Doug!
